The break is over

December 11, 2006

One has dallied, returning later than promised, the clue is the old motto, ‘a week is a long time in politics’. These days, ‘a day is a year…’

During the break, though only taking in the odd snippet of news, that was enough. The sheer amount of bilge spewed out by the federal parties these last few weeks is depressing enough, and all of it loaded with one underlying promise, which is certain, they are all in Canberra bent on inflicting greater burdens on Australians. To cap it all off, there is what is nothing less than an insidious, and increasing stress on collectivisation of Australians under the slogans of ‘community’ and ‘nation building’ coming from all parties.

There is unfinished business to attend to, Christine Nixon for one thing. Then, the abysmal failure of the HR Nicholls Society, and the treachery of Michael Kroger, his KKR stick puppets in 104 Exhibition Street.

Collectivisation is a tune the ALP plays, but why is the Liberal Party bent on applying the socialist black book to Australians? It is for that reason why I posed the question immediately beneath the title in the banner of this site.

Why, for that matter, is the Liberal Party as committed to that pantheistic, occult nonsense, combining myth, superstition and magic, man causes no longer “global warming” but now the catch all “climate change”. Environmentalism too: and “environmental science”; it is not science, it is exactly what sociology, psychology and keynesian economics are, charlatanism.

Environmentalism was pushed with increasing stridency in the early 1980’s, along with the also atrocious rubbish of ‘ecology’. They have only undermined science, epitomised by the great propaganda efforts of States’ and Federal Govts., to convince [brainwash] all and sundry into accepting primitive superstition is as good as (even better than) science.

The rise of absolutism rests in central planning, and politicians inventing crises with which to excuse the acquisition of greater coercive power. This is why the parties embraced the great lie of, man causes ‘global warming/climate change’. As it is, in the name of the ‘environment’, each tier of govt. has asserted increasing police state power, and with that, wiped out more property rights, all in the name of “preserving the environment”.

To it, the Coalition also has bestowed police state powers on yet another army of bureaucrats. It has also, as much as ALP States’ Governments, handed that Green Front, the ‘Australian Conservation Foundation’ real police state powers. Propping them up with stolen property (tax transfers). Yes, that lot of leftist mad mullahs do exercise real police state power over many, under the Federal Coalition Administration, and not just far left regimes such as the Bracks lead Supreme Soviet of the Gulag of Brackistaniland.

Peter Garrett might be loved by inner city wombats, Kate Baillieu, and Toorak doctors’ wives. If, however, the Greenies were not also protected and supported by the Liberal Party what many, certainly in the bush, would like to do to the Greenies is flog them. The Greenies do exercise police state powers, and they, accordingly, act just the same as the unsavory thugs of the old Nazi Party. It is disgusting that that pack of good for nothing liars are propped up by a pack of politicians who claim to be Liberals.

Oh, city dwellers might not notice it so much, except on the day they are hit with, say, a $5,000 – $10,000 fine for cutting a tree down in their backyard without the approval of a greenie nazi employed by those socialist, chiseling slobs called local councils. Out in rural Oz, however, ‘environmental laws’ and nazi like goons cause real strife. Indeed, for many types of businesses.

What do the Liberals do about it? They attack anyone who complains, “why wont you bring the whole rotten, corrupt business to an end?” Indeed, that ignoramus, Senator Campbell, like his predecessor in the job, Kemp, goes ballistic at Liberal party members for daring to mildly suggest it is wrong. What a fat, overpaid, ignoramus that man is. He should, along with a few others such as Barnaby Joyce, join the Party they belong to, the Greens, or at least the left of left wing of the Australian ‘National Socialist’ Labour Party

The Australian reported (9/12/06) a scientist has publicly stated his disgust at the debasement of science for hocus pocus. Professor Peter Doherty, (Nobel Prize winner) has savaged States’ departments of “education’’ for purveying science as “just another body of knowledge”. Doherty’s point can be drawn more sharply; science is trivialised as just a way of ‘knowing’, which he did proceed to make:

“Before science, you have to go back before 1500…. (those” who believe (it’s) just one way of knowing the world should go back and live then before we had a cure for things like plague.”

No need to go back to 1500; the hocus pocus brigade can leave their homes, their pooh bah ‘jobs’ kept by the oppressed (wealth generators), go bush and live just as they believe all should live, like primitive noble savages. Oh, right now it’s a tad nastier than usual.

The great outdoor barbie is on. Never mind that though. According to the au naturale brigade, the great cook out is all part of the wonders of the ‘old growth, pristine life’. So, why don’t they lead by example. They should be overjoyed at, living the life au naturale, they will be done nicely, along with kangarros, snakes, the sacred Baw Baw frog.

The prize corrupter of youths, Peter Garrett, shows some reluctance to put his day-glo skeleton where his mouth says it should be, in a humpy, eating witchety grubs, drinking filthy water, freezing in winter, hyperventilating in summer , full of diseases and broken bones healed in lumps and bumps. He couldn’t be a hypocrite, a prize leftist totalitarian liar, could he?

Instead, that little, spoilt, wealthy, brat, and son of wealthy parents, is too important to do that. He has to sit in Parliament, to ‘frame laws’ to make the rest of us live the life au-naturale. Put in that perspective, I for one, hope that that cretin goes bankrupt, and his creditors pursue him for everything he owns, then the slob will have no choice at all but to lead by example.

Ah, back to Doherty:

He reiterates the foundations of science; observation, experiment, repeatable findings, evidence based and driven. What must be stressed, in addition, it is explanation of what is, which is not quite distilled in his remark:

“It is a specialised way of looking at the world.

It is something that not a few Liberal Party MPs need to grasp, theory is sound explanation. To say ‘specialised way of looking …’ is, however, also misleading.

Next, on what is inculcated by States ‘Govts.’ into school pupils is the trivia of ‘process’. ‘Process’ is a buzzword used by politicians, a Police Commissioner ( Nixon), and bureaucrats. Process is how to go about things; it is acquired as a matter of course. Substantive content, in contrast, has been struck down for the quackery of sociology. The Queensland ‘curriculum’, for instance, inculcates:

“historical and cultural factors (that influence the nature and direction of science which, in turn, affects the development of society.”

Let’s pin the source of that swill. It is the stinking heap of dung called sociology and its ‘branch’ the ‘sociology of knowledge’, which is being drummed into school pupils. What is being drilled into soft heads in Queensland is typical of what is being drilled into pupils in each State.

The relativism Doherty attacks is contained in sociology. The sociologists’ account of the history of civilisation is alone totally erroneous. However, of science, one recollects some sociologists equating primitive, magical and superstitious beliefs and ritual with science. In other words science is nothing more than a ritualistic process which claims to attain truth about reality.

Next to the quackery of psychology, successive Federal Govts. have expanded sociology in ‘universities’; to the point a number of the charlatans are now advisers to Cabinet. It shows.

When, for example, the Prime Minister attempts to justify protection of selected interests, he parrots the sociologists, “it is Australia’s cultural heritage’. Such mush, when the argument, pro or con, is economic.

The likes of Derrida aside, sociologists and psychologists have swallowed the humanities, the soft underbelly of the university; precisely because of the languages of the humanities are demotic languages, as opposed to mathematics in science. Here is the twist, Dr. Ridd (James Cook University) stated that “the science syllabus has stripped maths out of science.”

The sprightly gentleman Louis Hissink has written on the debasement of geology. What Mr. Hissink had to say is the same.

What the States’ Govts., by their ‘schools’ and ‘universities’, through ‘environmental- (pseudo-) science, sociology and other such mush, are responsible for is worse than a travesty of the function of schools and universities. It is worse than the cultivation of ignorance; it is a retreat into primitive savagery. Since universities are also a Federal affair, both the Federal ALP and Coalition Parties are culpable for what is an appalling corruption of the sciences. For, it is they who have proliferated charlatanism by the funding of it and on a massive scale. Indeed, both the ALP and the Coalition parties, state and federal levels, began debasing science right back in the late 50’s and 60’s, at state and federal level.

The great lie, man changes climate through CO2, only illuminates, with an unhappy clarity, the debasement of science and with knobs on. The price of “Kyoto” is the demolition of civilisation. Why is the Liberal party so bent on proving itself as good a green hugger as the ALP, when the job is to demolish the vile rubbish in public? It is not as if the Cabinet has to work at it terribly much, the sheer numbers of scientists who can arm them with explanations takes care of that.

No, instead, the Liberal party, through the likes of Senator Campbell, and David Davis in Victoria, prefer to cultivate charlatans and take their mummery as ‘advice’.

Mr. Rudd has declared, under him the ALP will press an even more “aggressive” progom of compliance to that vicious document, the ‘Kyoto Treaty’. The liberal party should be happy to leave the nut-nibbling chipmunk to it, and shred him piece by piece accordingly. The trouble is, they can’t do that for the time being, for they have swallowed the whole damned lie of man causes global warming.

No, not just any man. The devil incarnate is free market capitalist man. Behind it all is that shallow, callow idiot called Rousseau and his promotion of the happy savage noble on the one hand, ‘true man’, and on the other hand, civilisation as ‘artificial’, and civilised man as some sore pressed sod who just wants to be, ah, hmm, well, ahem, ‘natural’.

What is all the more insidious is the increasing assertion of collectivism. History doesn’t repeat itself but there are extensive similarities between the late 19th century to early 20th century. The rise of the horrific totalitarian regimes, fascist, communist and Nazi, was preceded by a descent into superstition and underneath it all, primitive beliefs, inclusive of the occult of mudder nature. And, the subjection of the individual to the group. It is nothing less than the attempt to impose the ugly, nasty mores of primitive tribalism.

For his treatise in jurisprudence, Hayek had before him the shining example of the Common Law tradition. He concluded the tract with a singular prediction:

“I believe people will discover that the most widely held ideas which dominated the 20th century, those of planned economy with a just distribution, a freeing ourselves from repressions and conventional morals, of permissive education as a way to freedom, and the replacement of the market by a rational arrangement of a body with coercive powers, were all based on superstitions in the strict sense of the word. An age of superstitions is a time when people imagine they know more than they do…. the twentieth century was certainly an outstanding age of superstition….”

The “replacement of the market by a rational arrangement of a body with coercive powers”, characterises much the Federal Liberal Party has done in office in economic affairs. Peter Costello is completely wrong in claiming, regulation is the Rule of [Common] Law. Regulation is the rule of the tyrant, the dictator, and requires the edifice of the police state to enforce it. The only thing distinguishing the Liberal Party on so many matters from the ALP is, the ALP is far worse, committed to overt National Socialism and Soviet style planning. Common Law defends the individual and his property against the tyrant – not that many in the law give a fig about that these days.

Hayek’s prediction is not about to be realised any time soon. In so far as the ideas which lead to totalitarianism were forged by some of the brightest of Europe, today, they are merely the worn out sound bytes parroted by the venal, the power hungry, the lazy, the avaricious, the spineless, and the unprincipled. Europe descended in the late 19th Century to early 20th C occultic and pantheistic beliefs, propagated and instilled through seductive pseudo — rational dress.

Some of the nonsense, for example, was spewed out by Hegel. It was rubbish then, it is rubbish today, which tells me, politicians just don’t have a clue as to what they really are banging on about. Just to check, the constant vulgar use of “culture” is in the same sense as Hegel’s usage, a completely false one.

The Victorian Liberal party has, certainly, been wrecked by venal, spineless avaricious, unprincipled types, who double up as village idiots. The major parties are committed to notions that do not induce progress, improvement, and prosperity, but only the immiseration of many, while making life safe only for the kept, that is, bureaucrats and politicians.

It all relies on, of course, rendering as many as possible reliant on govt. intervention in some way, such that as few as possible can face life without the dead hand of oppressive, socialist government. Thus we have the kernel of the explanation as to how socialist politicians and their ‘governments’ corrupt people, and morals, the morals of the civilised, free market world, as opposed to the mores of the primitive tribesman.

As did the primitive tribal pooh bah, so too socialist politicians need many to be steeped in superstition and mystical beliefs, and fear of the unknown. Otherwise, how can those self-styled saviours demonstrate their great tin pot goddy capacity for rescuing people from, at bottom, nothing much at all.

Despite over a century of trying to make central planning and collectivism work, with disaster and terror, misery and destruction the only upshot of it, it seems politicians, bureaucrats, and too many clerics in the Church, are still hell bent on damning many in order to realise just another infantile paradise called socialism.

It is understandable, therefore, why science is also being eradicated. Science is a major obstacle to primitive savagery. Is that why even the Liberals cling to the fraud of keynesian economics, and pride themselves on their practicality and pragmatism, over against acquisition of theory? The problem is plain enough, if they turned to sound theory, they would have to correct and cut much they have done, as much as the ALP would have to repent of its dedication to the beliefs of primitive savages.

The Practical man is, of course, an ignorant man. The practical man, that is, rejects sound explanation of what is, even taking pride in his ignorance. Why does he step into an aircraft, or take an elevator to the umpteenth floor, dare drive across Sydney Harbour Bridge? Is he a hypocrite, a capricious one at that, accepting theory only when it suits him? Surely, if theory is so much tosh, the practical men and women in Australia must fear flying, must fear even driving a car.

Pragmatism compounds the error, as a descent into relativism. It is, of the Liberal party, worse than a regrettable retreat. The principles of Liberalism have as their root the very grounds of civilisation. The case of Liberalism is not ‘ideological’, neither is it a hypothesis only. It is theoretically true.

It is theoretically true, and not simply because of the shocking record of the attempts to contradict it through socialism, but because the truths of Liberalism are demonstrated in history. Thus are its principles sound. So, why are Liberal Politicians so ashamed of Liberal principles?

Why are they as enthusiastic for imposing the European disease on Australians as the ALP? Why don’t they have the spine to stand up for Liberal Principles, and engage the public, on those terms? Why are they so timid? Why do they run away from any confrontation that entails standing on Liberal Principles? Why do they cave into charlatans? Why do they eschew those who can soundly advise them? Why do they reject science for charlatanism and superstition? Why are they serving rather more the aims of the National Socialist-Soviet style Planners of the ALP? Why are they so willing to take private property ( by taxation) and throw it way on charlatans, their mummery, and their grand scams?

It’s all been done many times over before, so why do they insist on aiding the ALP in making Australians go through it all again? Why do they do as the ALP does and take their lead from the Black Book of Socialism?

A break in the business

October 27, 2006

One is trotting off to shangri la for a couple of weeks for a break. It’s time, as the desultory posting shows. I’ll be back Monday 13 the, November.

In the meantime.

The Ptrime Minister shopuld get some real scientific advice:

He asserted this morning, Co2 damages the atmosphere. Drivel.

Next, there might be a shift occurring in climate patterns, though that is unclear, because in physics it is too complex to explain climate let alone make long run predictions . One thing is clear, if shifts are occuring ( there is no uniform climate), it is not due to climate change.

The problem with bunk is, it is being used as an excuse to tax Australians heavily.

Bracks has announced another ruddy windmill farm. The Prime said ‘alternative energy is important’, as well as meeting ‘ greenhouse emission targets’, that is  cutting Co2 emissions.

Taking the last first, it wouldn’t be too bad but for one thing, it is a burden, the  reason for it is rubbish, it is economica;lly damaging. Greenies understand that, that’s why they are all for it, to undermine bad old capitalist west.

WIth windmills, `alternaitve energy’ is useless, is not investment, and will only cut energy supply, damaging business and and consumers.

Sod the environment. the only environment policy the Liberal Party should have is to kill off the fraud of environmentalism, eliminate that blood sucking cow, the Dept. of Environment, and get off the backs of enterprises and consumers.

When I return, I shall pick up the tempo with the postings. I’ve not finished yet with a couple of thugs, such as Kroger, the HR Nicholls Society, and few others in need of a whipping, including Christine Nixon.

Des Moore set out HRNS’s entire ‘econ. case’ for free labour markets; Why the ACTU is pleased with their good work. Michael Kroger’s “Brains Trust “(3)

October 17, 2006

The HRNS’ failure in labour market reform is not simply the errors already summarised (1). It has only conceded the entire ACTU case against labour market reforms, and damaged much else besides. No wonder the ACTU is having a jolly time of it attacking the Cabinet. An electrifying paper by Des Moore to the HRNS’ 23rd annual extravaganza conference, sums up what the HRNS have done (2).

The paper’s doubled subject is ‘welfare effects’ of ‘minimum wages’ (not effective minimum wages), and “why Card and Krueger are wrong”. He should have left both well alone. Moore declares, “minimum rates’’ might be inadequate to maintain living standards. Governments, he continues, should maintain them by transfers. For, minimum rates delivers unemployment, and not having a job is worse than lower consumption.

Moore seems to reduce welfare to merely having a job. If an employer were to offer, say, $1 an hour, a job seeker should be grateful for it? Never mind, says Moore, the Govt.(!) can pick up the tab for the difference between a pittance and the market rate (though Moore, doesn’t have a clue about market rates).

So, Moore pronounces, a minimum wage rate yields unemployment, and it is having a job that counts. Never mind about the reason why so many get up every day and work in enterprise, government will take care of that. (The ACTU must have really enjoyed reading this.)

Moore’s mutterings on transfers, amounts to another moralising demand for redistribution (income transfers), which may delight the left but few others. Yet, there is a troubling exception:

Unemployment ‘benefits’ are compensation to all those made unemployed due to the imposition of effective minimum rates. Moore has nothing to say on this, nor against those responsible for 100% cuts and the need to compensate the victims, the ACTU, and compliant politicians and bureaucrats. (Economists, frustrated at the HRNS wrecking the free labour market case, are equally disgusted with Federal Cabinet Minister Joe Hockey calling the victims of the Unions ‘dole-bludgers’ and telling them to tramp all around Australia, as so many vagabonds, in search of a job. (3) )

Moore is oblivious to: Capital delivers ‘living standards’ (’welfare’, ie. consumption), and capital accumulation raises them. Moore doesn’t see Govt. transfers don’t do the work of capital accumulation.

Moore also conceded another false claim employers have a balance of power over employees. Is this why Moore decided to show “why Card and Krueger are wrong,” in a trivial, inchoate, lengthy ramble on monopsony. Well, Moore did manage to copy down the standard textbook definition of monopsony.

Apart from other troubles, Moore didn’t spot a crucial qualification that Bellchamber and Gregory attempted to obscure. Jackson lifts it out in a swift stroke:

“…Card (et al)…only suggest … when the minimum wage is ‘low’… rises will have little effect on employment. Nowhere did Card actually say that raising wages above the market level will not cause unemployment.” (4)

A rise in the minimum (not the effective minimum rate) that leaves it an ineffective rate is not destructive. Jackson has written further devastating assessments of Bellchamber, Harcourt, and Card and Krueger.

Another problem is the notion of monopsony rests on the fallacy of perfect competition, against which Jackson has also written (5). Another excellent paper is by Block and Barnett II (6).

Moore concedes the ACTU false claim of “balance of power”, which is pinned to the error of indeterminacy of rates. The ACTU latched onto Card and Krueger in an attempt to lend credence to it.

Moore, in ceding indeterminacy, and asserting that ineffective minimum rates are destructive and should be eliminated, ceded the ‘power’ claim. That is what t.v. viewers saw, when Hugh Morgan, told Australians, ‘you are being paid to much’ (because the “ratio” is too high (7)).What has he said but this:

Employers should be free to drive down rates, and deny employees ‘just’ wages’.

He has only managed to give every ACTU ‘reason’ for:

        1. Effective minimum wages.
        2. Unionised closed shops.
        3. Institutional regulation of markets.
        4. Union ‘protection’ of employees from ‘exploitation’ by unscrupulous thugs – employers.

It hasn’t gelled with Des Moore that in free markets there is neither monopsony, nor oligopsony. That, neither employer nor employee has power, there is no power to be balanced – competitive markets and the marginal productivity of labour explains why, and why labour is justly paid.

Moore’s paper shows laziness. Compare the extensive references Jackson has supplied in Labour Wars, and the bibliography in the Block and Barnett paper. Those gentlemen are abreast of the literature, and case studies; Moore is not. Yet, this only a part of Moore’s, and the HRNS’ overall incompetence.

Moore has felt important waxing long on grave matters others have merely treated soundly and with precision. Moore has set out what the HRNS has been saying for some 20 years now. No wonder the ACTU likes the HRNS – they are advocates of the ACTU’s entire anti -free labour market case. Brilliant!

      1. The HRNS errors summarised in Michael Kroger and His “Brains Trust” – The HR. Nicholls Society, but for thorough explanation, Gerard Jackson, Labour Wars, linked in that item.
      2. Des Moore, Minimum Wages: Employment And Welfare Effects, Or Why Card And Krueger Were Wrong, HR Nicholls Society XXIII Conference.
      3. Joe Hockey, Federal Cabinet Minister for the Department of ‘Human Services’. Besides other schemes, Hockey and the Dept. are responsible for administering unemployment benefits.
      4. G. Jackson, Labour Wars, p.17.
      5. G. Jackson (eg.) Monopsony versus labour: our right wing lets us down again. Brookesnews. Also in Labour Wars.
      6. Walter Block and William Barnett II, An Austrian Critique of Neo – Classical Monopsony Theory. Block and Barnett II draw the same conclusions as Jackson. They also engage in a thorough examination of the false assumption on which monopsony, and oligopsony rests, ‘perfect competition’, to show monopsony is pseudo economic theory.
      7. ‘Ratio of the minimum wage to the median wage’: when it is too high, unemployment ensues (positive correlation). The ‘ratio’ is the HRNS’ ‘solution’ to the (false) dilemma of indeterminacy, and why unemployment.

Michael Kroger has commenced his purge of the Victorian Liberal Party.

October 4, 2006

My mole in 104 Exhibition Street has informed me: Kroger has ordered a Branch to be shut down. Kroger has a list of branches he will proceed to shut down. Kroger has also stopped formation of any new branches. The reason: to eliminate any Liberal Party member who is -opposed to him, suspected of opposing him. To eliminate Branches not loyal to him, are independent (of him); to ensure no such new Branch is formed.

Kroger has already ordered his stick puppet, $4000 a week Sheezel, to shut down the Kingston heath Branch. Kroger is using as his excuse; it doesn’t have enough members to be effective, and render its meetings official. The Branch has 15 members! It is also very active, unlike Dandenong Branch.

Dandenong has held one meeting, over 12 months ago. Its membership barely scrapes above 1.The President, a Mrs. Cunningham, employed by an MP, doesn’t lift a finger to make the Branch work. It won’t be closed because, it is dead. Unless, a spark of activity is seen, then Kroger would act against it, out of fear.

Kroger is beginning with Kingston Heath first, for the real reason: Its Chairman, Mr. Tim Warner, is a very active Liberal Party member, serving in 15 offices. Warner is, in Kroger’s eyes, a criminal. Warner, you see, opposes Kroger.Shutting down the Branch disqualifies Warner from continuing to serve the Party in those positions. Kroger, kills two foes with one stone, an active, independent Branch, and a staunch Liberal Party member, who opposes Kroger.

Kroger has ordered Julian ‘the Weasel’ Sheezel to do the dirty work. Well, that’s a mystery cleared up – why Kroger wrote a $4,000 week pay packet for ‘The Weasel’, because Jules sure doesn’t earn a cent of what he’s paid. He doesn’t produce a thing. What would he earn in enterprise? A junior clerk’s rates? He’s not capable of producing anything above $4,000 to warrant $4k a week.

Now we know why Kroger signed over $4,000 a week to “The Weasel”. Already Kroger’s hired thug, Kroger has nastier hit jobs for him. Oh, let’s not omit Kroger’s other thugs; Hannan, whose only career success to date is sucking up to Kroger, with the help of his big brother, and Potty “Mouth” Barry. Liberal Party members hand over funds and fees so Kroger can put his personal thuggish puppets into executive jobs and on pay many in enterprise, who are superior to that lot, will not see.

Michael Kroger is using the Victorian Liberal Party offices, 104 Exhibition St, as an extension to his in his Toorak mansion, and to eliminate –

Any Party member who opposes him; any Branch which opposes him; and any Branch independent of him.

Kroger, having stripped Richmond Branch of its voting rights, to impose Maina Walkley, is now making his major move: eliminating members, and stripping members of their Branches altogether, many Branches. Kingston is only the first on Kroger’s initial hit list.

Now, one did give the Federal Liberal Party a warning, in the article, Helen Kroger’s nomination for a safe seat a mere formality.

They should attend to the passage on what Helen Kroger said to Michael Kroger’s rubber stamp ‘selection committee’. There are senior Liberal figures, women as well as men, who have met Helen Kroger, and they have each said, independently:

She is a moron, she is a nasty bit of work, and she will be a disaster in the Senate, and a major embarrassment to the Party. She must be sacked as Senate Candidate for a safe Liberal Seat.

The Federal Party can find a reason to demand this. Under Party rules, she has demonstrated herself to be unfit. Yet, reason or no reason, when presented with a candidate like Helen, Federal ALP has intervened and thrown out such candidates. The Liberal Party must do the same; it has no choice, for Helen will, not might, not can; Helen will damage the Federal Liberal Party. My sources know the woman, and they are certain of it, for they have seen her in action firsthand.

Perhaps Helen only parroted Kroger when she told the selection committee, there must be a purge of the Party. One commented back then what a purge would be about. Right on the money, Michael has launched his Purge and, to use Helen’s euphemism, ‘rectification of the Party’.

Michael Kroger is eliminating Liberals, and Liberal Branches. Talent is stopped – the escalator has been switched off. In Prodos’ case, he got further than many other Liberals did, so Kroger had to knife him in public. There are blacklists of Liberals, identified as either opposed to/ as trouble for/as potential trouble/as merely being brighter, – to Kroger, his stick puppets and that lot of MPs in Spring St. Kroger is stopping formation of new Branches.

What counts is only Kroger and his Toorak Brahmin backers. They hold members in contempt, as so much dirt under the shoes, and only to be trampled on.

Now, what should all this tell the Federal Liberal Party? This:

Kroger is strangling the Party; he is killing it off. The Prime Minister wishes the Party to engage the general public, inclusive of at the local level. Kroger has made sure that that cannot occur long ago. It no longer engages Party members, and now it cannot at all engage them. Worse; there won’t be a Victorian Liberal Party to engage any Victorian. Oh, there will be Kroger, Costello, Helen Kroger, Toorak Political Brahmins, Kroger’s stick puppets, and that’s all. Wow.

What Kroger has now set himself to do is more than accelerating what is of deep concern to the Federal Party, the decline in members. He has effectively set himself to finish them off altogether.

Moreover, it is very likely that the Liberals will not survive the State election as a registered Parliamentary Party.

The Federal Party is facing the reality; the Victorian wing will be completely smashed, unless the Federal Party intervenes now. The Federal Party, therefore, also faces being wiped out in Victoria.

Or, is the Prime Minister relying on Michael Kroger, Peter Costello and Helen Kroger to do the work the Victorian Party doesn’t even cope with anymore?

Oh, who & how many will there be to even merely man polling booths – Kroger’s chums (- ‘that’s what the serfs are for’, but those not eliminated by Kroger are fleeing their Overlords)?

Kroger has to be sacked. Kroger’s stick puppets in 104 Exhibition Street have to be fired. Helen Kroger has to be sacked as the Senate Candidate in a safe Liberal seat. That’s only for starters.

2.Pure and Perfect Competition

September 13, 2006

In, Platonic Competition, Reisman has supplied a neat summary of why perfect competition is false. For more articles eviscerating the false theories of market competition – Pure and Perfect, go here on the Ludwig von Mises site. The point is obvious enough, next to Keynsian quackery, perfect competition is the assumption of the politicians, advisers, apparatchiks and bureaucrats. It is central to the risible Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

Under Fels, the ACCC, as Brookesnews reported on, fined a small trucking firms, then newly formed, for establishing an ‘illegal’ cartel’.

Perfect Competition is the pin, now of  ‘trust-busting’.

P.C. is ground into every Australian undergraduate. In the core textbooks:

1. Eckert and Leftwich, assert it is a logical starting point.

2. Of, Begg Fischer Rudiger and Dornbusch, Begg abandoned it when it dawned on him the force of perfect competition, the breaking up of firms by coercion in the name of ensuring ‘perfect competition’.

That’s quite apart from the absurdities and contradictions pure and perfect competition entails, such as horizontal demand curves, when all demand curves slope down, even of the individual firm.

Next, no-one acts blindly, after all, the prices convey information. No firm, unless run by the suicidal, acts blind.

The upshot, under perfect comp. competition is defined as ‘concentration’, how many suppliers there are: many good, few bad. That this nonsense is lost on pollies and burueacrats and the ACCC is evident in the very fact, buy competitive or not, they mean ‘concentration’.

Now, I’ll resume this tomorrow, first thing, leaving the reader to the very good explanation by Reisman; he has rightly tagged perfect and pure comp. by the first pseudo-philosophical excuse for totalitarianism, Platonism, and for its gnostic epistemology.

Why is the Liberal Party Committed to Socialism?.

I’m tying this to quite a bit of self-defeating rubbish the Federal Cabinet is committed, which, in fact, serves only the establishment of what will, unchecked, emerge as an absolutist regime. What sits opposite them, the ALP, with the Dems and the Greens, are far worse, why give those scumbags a freekick – and scumbags they are, including that fat National Socialisto wannabe dictator Cap’n Kockup Beazley.

It is not simply, for example, the Cabinet mangled the otherwise sound case for freeing labour markets. Indeed, in recent weeks, the Cabinet is confining itself to crucial point, it clears markets, stops unemployment. It’s not because, as other matters show, they have suddenly brought in Austrian school economists to advise them.

They, to recollect, relying Morgan, Evans and the H.R. Nichollls Society to lead the charge, asserted, free markets increases productivity of Labour, and, yields economic growth. The editor of Brookesnews has explained what is wrong with the first, besides the obvious, capital raises the marginal productivity of labour and, rates to labour.  The second, economic growth is a stupid as believing exports increases economically the lattice of production. As a pal mused, ‘ the vege patch lead economic growth’.

No, I have in view other things, which we take up in posts above.

Central Planning : Soviet Style GozPlan Telephone Set – string attached to tin can

August 28, 2006

Trujillo is a rare type, an entrepreneur who heads a major company in Australia with the spine and the nerve to stand up to National Socialist Politicians. The politicians in the Liberal Party seem to be hell bent on securing what the ALP openly states as its aim, to reduce Australians to serfdom under the hellish joke of National Socialism. The politicians, all parties, apparatchiks, and those selected vested interests who are the beneficiaries of central govt. corruption of markets through taxation, transfers and other interventions, are at once furious and flabbergasted Trujillo has the nerve to stand up to the socialists – all parties.

When Trujillo first attacked regulations applied to Telstra, the response of the Cabinet was: Trujillo should shut up: it is the job of govt. to set economic directions and goals and businessmen are to merely execute them through the actions of the companies they run. Whether the ‘practical men and women’ of the Coalition realise it or not, it was just that sort of Central Planning garbage that laid the foundations for totalitarianism in Europe, in particular, Nazi Germany. The trouble with Trujillo is not his standing up to the politicians, apparatchiks and bureaucrats, it is that he does so alone. His gutsy fight is a blunt contrast to the gutlessness, the cowardice of so many others who while they moan about taxation and regulations don’t do something about it as in, standing up to bloody usurious politicians and bureaucrats who are nothing more than thuggish goons.

Regulation is a number of things: It is a tax. It compels firms to cash in capital to comply. It cripples the capacity of entrepreneurs to run firms to markets. It has issued in the rise of bureaucrats in firms who aren’t decision-makers, who are a dead weight on companies but are kept on payroll only because of regulation. It is a barrier to entry into markets. It eliminates what comparative advantage remains in producing goods in Australia. It eliminates the freedom to work capital. It compounds the destructive force of the sheer evils of the tax regimes of each tier of Govt. in Oz. It entails the establishment of goon squads falsely called public service agencies and more goons falsely called public servants. The majority of regulations include criminal offences, which strengthens what regulation serves, the overthrow of the Rule of Common Law for the law of the Tyrant. Regulation, in return, serves nothing at all, not firms, not employees, not consumers, not anyone except politicians and bureaucrats bent on tyranny. Just look at Brackistaniland and the Bracks Junta.

Look at the now increasing flight of capital out of Victoria alone. One upshot is, regulation does turn profitable ventures into loss making close it down now propositions. So, for the time being, apart from making a couple of additional remarks, the rest of this post is reserved to a number of telling speeches and interviews by Senator the Hon Helen Coonan Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts.

Remarks: several years ago, I remarked Telstra is a bad investment and for several reasons:Sovereign risk, realised and crippling Telstra’s capacity to allocate capital and accumulate capital. The fact that the politicians, all parties, saw T2 nothing more than as a slush fund for their squander, as they also view T3, and not the proper function of capital raising which is precisely soundly justified increase in capital for the purpose of Tesltra’s market guided, entrepreneur driven investment in production of goods and services.T2 was not a sound capital raising and the immediate implication was investors’ shareholdings were debased, and not simply diluted by useless paper. I always considered those who purchased T2 silly and worse, fools because: The T2 issue was not based on and priced to Telstra’s internal capital raising but nothing less than the envy of politicians, all parties, that some lucky T1 holders had sold at prices higher than the issue price of T1, overlooking that the then share-trading prices were somewhat driven rather more by optimism as in – Telstra is a big blue chip company; thus, its price could only keep going vertical.

Well, it can go vertically down too, as it did. Then, the object of T2 as also T3 can be summed up as: Stuff Telstra, investors and customers: We dah Govt. – pollies, bureaucrats and mendicants want your loot so we can play Santa Claus and enjoy ‘free boondoggles’ – Harradine lead by rapacious example.

Now, without `T3’, the amount of issue is still overvalued. That the price has been still falling up to the announcement of T3 is bound up with it. T3, the issuing of what it amounts to, nothing more than very expensive toilet paper, will see the price fall at even lower ranges than it might otherwise bottom out around . Trujillo can’t reverse Tesltra’s fortunes unless Parliament and bureaucracy remove their grubby hands out of Telstra, and rescind regulations, and free markets, – for once in their miserable National Socialisto parasitical lives.

Coonan seems to believe her grand Socialisto plan will deliver great boondoggles to not only Tesltra shareholders but also customers. Well, she is a fool, a liar, or just a complete economic ignoramus, or all three. For strangling markets and firms, Coonan, won’t deliver super-dooper telco products and services: what it will ensure is Soviet style goods and service – crap products, and a goon squad approach to services.

Moreover, customers, instead of being able to purchase improving goods and services for less, will pay higher and higher prices for crap. Indeed that is what the national Socialist approach to telecommunications, and broadcasting for that matter has done to telecommunications, and consumers are in for a real shock, including those selfish, venal self satisfied –give me my ‘free’ subsidy’ voters.

When T1 was floated, that should have been the end of ‘govt.’ control. The floating of Telstra is worse than a dirty float. T1 should have been the completion of the floating of Telstra. Instead, all the parties, rather many politicians, apparatchiks and bureaucrats have done nothing less than defraud investors. With this, they are imposing Soviet style telecommunications supply. Thus, the black irony is, contrary to the claims of Coonan, cabinet, ms. of p. all parties, customers will be the losers.

To point things out a bit more: Tesltra is not a monopoly. As Trujillo has also observed, prices of goods and services are on a long run trend down. Consumers, in some will have, sooner or later, what they seek, but they won’t get it from firms in Australia crippled by regulation and markets totally corrupted by interfering National Socialist spivs playing at entrepreneur – and Coonan seems deluded that she is really and truly an entrepreneur delivering great things to consumers, as her speeches show. She has no clue at all.

That the ALP is no better, that they are worse is no excuse for what the ‘practical men and women ‘ of the Liberal party. As for Coonan, her speeches could be mistaken for those of 19th century central Planners whose grand schemes issued into totalitarianism and the immiseration of millions. She is thick.

Trujillo has an uphill battle, but, slim as the prospect is, I hope he wins. It is time for many more to do what Trujillo is doing, give the pollies and bureaucrats a kick in the groin. In the meantime the politicians persist in corrupting and eroding another range of markets and persist in ensuring Telstra will end up a tiny messenger service firm. Coonan Speaks, blah. (more…)

Answer to last Wednesdays’ Question:

August 28, 2006

Why “Bracks  longer car-supply deals” won’t save auto parts and complements makers in Brackistaniland, and many other manufacturers:

The question is merely rhetorical for:

You have to be a complete moron to believe a contract of any duration is the factor which comvinces investors to continue production.  Well, Bracks is not only an ignoramus, he is also a moron, a totalitarian moron.

Why is that commie cretin who disgraces the office of Premier and his Junta looking forward to another four years in office, with an increased majority? Simple: Michael Kroger, Peter Costello, their KKR Parasite party and their Toorak Political Brahmin backers.

As  I say, between them J.S. Bracks and T.W. Baillieu will ensure Victoria is like the dodo, stoned dead.

Australia’s very own Delphic Oracle

August 22, 2006

The new chief of the Reserve bank of Australia, Glenn Stevens, taking a leaf out of Alan Greenspan’s habits, seems to be setting himself up as Australias’ Delphic Oracle. His latest pronouncement was on housing loans.

Nothing wrong in his statements:

States’ Governments have forced house prices up.

States’ Governments are contracting debt of high magnitudes.

Both comments, however, were delivered in relation to housing prices and, interest rates.

I would have said, he was economical with the truth, but a pal mused, “he can’t be accused of that because he’s just another ignoramus who believes he ‘knows’ about money”.

For while what the States’ Governments are culpable of, taken to perfection in Brackistaniland, is disgusting, nothing less than extortion, that doesn’t explain all that is a deep pronblem about consumption of housing: Debt.

Pundits paid small fortunes to ‘anaylse’ economic affairs in the mainstream media have been banging on about the $9billlion consumer debt, the banks exposure to what could show out, most of it is bad debt, but, as Stevens and his predecessor Ian Macfarlane, can’t explain why. If both Macfarlane and the new Oz oracle could, the first thing they would do is order an end to fiat money and then oversee the slaughter of the RBA.

Coerced high pricing of housing by commie politicians doesn’t explain the mounting credit card funding of consumption. The RBA forging money hand over fist does.

Bank balances are sinking deeper into the red. It is due to forger’s money and the RBA, instead of printing more of the crap paper, is hard at it still forging more.

The threat to the banks, or rather consumer’s of all types, businesses, and not just spenders on consumer goods, has been all along funny money, the stuff the RBA ships out through fractional bankers by the truck loads.

Brookesnews has been yelling this out for years. The Coalition, with over 6 years in office, more than enough time to take good advice and convince the public of sound economic principles, has sat in office self-satisfied, trusting Costello, Macfarlane, and Stevens are literate in economics. Now, many things are blowing up in their faces:

-consumer debt

-Recession, and manufacturing is, after a brief spike in employment in July, contracting, and contraction is turning exponential. Come August, when the next report on manufacturing is due, Costello might hide, and the rest of the Cabinet drink some fortified stuff, for it will make for nasty reading. To put it into perspective, it has been trending for a couple of years now; it is just that it is now spiralling down.

More-over, it’s not the RBA which will wear the ire of the public, it will be the Cabinet. Stevens is already ensuring the shit will fly not to where it belongs, but onto the Cabinet. That is precisely the real force of his Delphic declarations.

As with so many superannuants who stuff the parties and the ‘public service’, Stevens sneers at the real taxpaying vassal serfs of Australia and consumers generally: ” they’ll just have to go without other things” is Stevens’ pronouncement.  That’s right, Stevens, many Australians will have to go without many things, including jobs, not just because of tax and squander politicians but also money forging criminals of the RBA.

Federal Liberal Party M.P.s should pay attention to the editor of the Brookesnews and stiff Costello with some hard questions, and thus find out what a spiffingly good Treasurer he is. Actually, a fish out of water would cope just as well.

Junk Philopsophy

August 20, 2006

The Amazing Randi draws attention to this on Bad Science:

Deconstructing the evidence-based discourse in health sciences: truth, power and fascism.”

Randi introduces it by saying “Under the presumptuous heading of “Scholarly Article,” four Canadian “scientists” – all PhDs or PhD candidates – have presented the world with an amazingly naïve and ludicrous paper…”

I doubt very much that they are scientists. Superannuated mummers in what was once the humanities more like it.

 A few quotes:

we assert that the evidence-based movement in health sciences constitutes a good example of microfascism at play in the contemporary scientific arena.

Objective -The philosophical work of Deleuze and Guattari proves to be useful in showing how health sciences are colonised (territorialised) by an all-encompassing scientific research paradigm – that of post-positivism – but showing the process by which a dominant ideology comes to exclude alternative forms of knowledge, therefore acting as a fascist structure.

Conclusion

The Cochrane Group, among others, has created a hierarchy that has been endorsed by many academic institutions, and that serves to (re)produce the exclusion of certain forms of research

it is the ugliest expression of life in the 20th century.  Although it is associated with specific political systems, this fascism of the masses, as was practiced by Hitler and Mussolini, has today been replaced by a system of microfascisms – polymorphous intolerances that are revealed in more subtle ways….

Whatever the Cockrane Group is supposed to be, it’s namesake fought on the side of those who would have reduced Spain to another communist hell hole, against Franco. There is a photo of the commie thug, called Archie Cochrane.

According to those Canadian retarded Phuds, science is a facist plot. The West is riddled with ‘mini fascisms’. I presume they equate fascism with free markets and capital.

Science, apparently, is a ‘construct’ imposed by ruthless oppressors. It would never occur to the dummy sucking infantile delinquents that Soviets and the Nazis elevated voodoo over science and they show it in their strange reference to Hitler and Mussolini.

They definietely don’t have a clue as to history. Whoever let the bums loose on science and philopsphy should be disimissed as a charlatan. Mind, in these days of psycho-socio babble and `man causes global Varming’, I suppose the four Phuds would be regarded as Professorial tyros. Just the sort of bums someone such as Steve Bracks would consult. Erk, and also Ted the Wimp Ballieu.
